I am a devoted, detail-oriented medical illustrator with a love for medicine and art. I earned my MS in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia. There, I worked with campus doctors, observed human surgical procedures, and learned traditional and digital illustration techniques. I earned my BFA in Scientific Illustration from the University of Georgia. There, I learned graphic design, fine art, and natural science illustration. During my undergraduate and graduate studies, I completed biological and anatomical classes on the college and medical school levels. I began my art training at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, SC where I developed a strong foundation in fine art, and my adoration for illustration blossomed. With my scientific knowledge and artistic design skills, I describe biological processes with visual clarity. I am also an active member of the Association of Medical Illustrators, which promotes our specialized field.
I am committed to combining the details and integrity of science with the creativity and visual understanding of fine art in a way in which benefits health care professionals and patients for the promotion of health and prevention of disease.
